Nestled along the sun-kissed shores of Cala S’Almonia, a hidden gem on Mallorca's South Eastern coastline, stands a picturesque collection of stone fishing boat houses. This quaint refuge whispers tales of a bygone era, where local fishers sought solace from the sea.
I found this perspective after I took a short walk along the cliffs that border the bay. Amidst the scene, a central building caught my eye with its sturdy presence, seemingly guarding the waters below. As I framed the photo, I noticed how naturally the buildings blended into the hillside, as if they had always been there.
It was only later, upon reviewing my images, that I spotted a couple embracing in the foreground. In their embrace, amidst a sanctuary once sought by fishermen, I found a serendipitous perfection that resonated deeply. When I look back on the image now, I’m reminded of that perfect afternoon bathed in the fading warmth of the Mediterranean sun. It was kind of like a hug for your eyes, or something profound like that… You get the idea!
Each photo is rendered on 310 gsm 100% cotton rag paper using high quality inkjet printing, mounted on 5mm Acid free foamboard and protected by 3mm Museum UV Plexiglass. This combination guarantees no fade or bleed for up to 100 years.
